Accountability, the missing link

An essential (and often ignored) part of Coaching is the accountability that is built into the process. Maybe you have read all the self help books yet are no closer to your goals.

Why? Because if you read a book and do nothing, there’s no come back.

With Coaching, you are making a commitment to me to do certain things by a certain time. My job is to hold you to that. So in addition to the regular coaching sessions, I provide unlimited support in between. In this way, over time, you develop new habits that replace the bad ones that have been holding you back.

That doesn’t mean I’ll be breathing down your neck at every turn. We will agree between us just how much accountability you want. You may know you’ll achieve more when you have to give me a daily update, or you may be the type of person who prefers to be left to their own devices. That is your decision.

My role as your Coach is to be there to encourage and support you, to question you, to cajole or even challenge you but to always believe completely in you, your goals and your abilities. I will never judge you or tell you what’s best for you - only you can know that (but I may make a few suggestions along the way). As your Coach my expertise is in listening and questioning. Put simply, I will not preach but I will definitely push.

My style of coaching is very informal. I avoid ‘coachy’ or self help jargon as my aim is to make the Coaching process enjoyable so you look forward to each session.

That doesn't mean it will be an easy ride, it could be a very bumpy one at times, but it will be an exciting one and I guarantee you will be glad you took the plunge.
